Security & Data Use
Your farm's data belongs to your farm.
Plain English, no legalistic fluff: here is how PrairieOps handles farm data.
- Farm-scoped dataEvery record in PrairieOps belongs to a specific farm. Data is partitioned by farm at the database level — one operation's data is never visible to another.
- Authenticated users onlyThere is no public access to private farm data. Every person on the platform signs in with farm-verified credentials.
- Role-based accessWhat each person can see and do is controlled by their role — crew, foreman, manager, admin, owner — and enforced by server-side security rules, not just hidden buttons.
- Data is used to run your farmOperational data exists to support farm workflows: tasks, service records, field logs, requests, and reporting for your operation.
- We do not sell farm dataPrairieOps does not sell farm data. Period.
- Integrations are permission-basedIf integrations are enabled in the future, external data access would be granted by the farm, scoped to the farm, and revocable by the farm at any time.
Questions about data handling?
If you're evaluating PrairieOps for your operation or as an integration partner and need more detail on how data is stored and protected, ask — we'd rather answer directly than bury it in fine print.
